Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PG Emissary ("the Service"), including the Discord bot and web application at pgemissary.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PG Emissary is a free, community-operated companion tool for the MMORPG Project Gorgon. The Service provides:

  • A Discord bot with game information commands, scheduled notifications, and community features
  • A web application with a player marketplace, activity scheduling, guild recruitment, event tracking, and game data dashboards

PG Emissary is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Elder Game, LLC, the developer of Project Gorgon. Project Gorgon and related content are the property of Elder Game, LLC.

3. User Accounts

Access to certain features requires authentication via Discord OAuth2. By logging in, you authorize us to access your Discord user ID, username, and avatar. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Post content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Attempt to manipulate marketplace listings through fraudulent or deceptive practices
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
  • Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or access the Service without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its systems

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (marketplace listings, activity descriptions, guild recruitment posts, comments, and reviews). By posting content, you grant PG Emissary a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate, at our sole discretion.

6. Marketplace

The PG Emissary marketplace is a listing service only. We do not facilitate, guarantee, or mediate in-game trades. All transactions occur within Project Gorgon and are solely between the involved players. PG Emissary assumes no liability for any disputes, scams, or losses arising from trades.

7. Moderation

Moderators and administrators may take action against accounts that violate these terms, including but not limited to: removing content, issuing warnings, temporarily restricting access, or permanently blocking accounts. Moderation decisions are made at our discretion.

8. Availability and Changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, accuracy of game data, or uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PG Emissary and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of in-game items, currency, or progress.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Discord (operated by Discord Inc.) and references data from Project Gorgon (operated by Elder Game, LLC). Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service (via site announcements or Discord notifications). Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
